Launched in 2001, GDS Services is an IT solutions provider that focuses on delivering colocation services to companies in China and Hong Kong. The company is currently the largest carrier-neutral data center operator in China, serving more than 700 customers across three primary verticals (Internet and cloud, financial services, and large enterprises). In 2021, GDS announced the company's first purpose-built facility in Hong Kong would be added to their portfolio, projected for completion mid-2022. GDS Services is headquartered in Shanghai, China. GDS has rebranded its international unit to DayOne in 2025.
