NTT Group

Headquartered in Tokyo, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation is the fourth largest telecommunications company in the world by revenue. The company was founded by the Japanese government in 1952 to operate the country’s telephone system. The company was privatized in 1985, but the government remains a large shareholder. Internationally, NTT Group owns and operates data centers exclusively under its NTT Global Data Centers branding. NTT data centers outside of Japan can be found under the provider name NTT Global Data Centers. In the domestic market of Japan, six NTT Group entities own and/or operate data centers, including NTT Data, NTT Communications, NTT East, NTT West, NTT Comware and NTT SmartConnect.
