Launched in 1959 as a joint partnership between Marvin Romanek and Eugene Golub, Romanek-Golub was a real estate development corporation that built a significant number of office buildings in downtown Chicago in the 1960s and 1970s. The company boasts a vast portfolio that includes several iconic Chicago buildings, including the 27-story office building at 625 N Michigan, the 38-story tower at 180 N LaSalle, and the Xerox Center at 55 W. Monroe. Romanek and Golub parted ways in 1980, with business continuing for the Romanek family as newly-named Romanek Properties. Along with a name change, the company shifted corporate vision from real estate development to primarily focus on real estate acquisition. Romanek Properties is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
